Bob Baker earned a master´s degree in business administration (MBA) at Bournemouth University in the UK and has worked as a company director and program director for the last twenty five years. The latter role involved coordinating and delivering management and HR qualifications up to and including Masters Level.
He has more than 30 years of practical experience as a consultant and trainer both in the public and private sectors. His specialisms include management development, customer care, leadership, change management, strategic management, project management, time management, team building, coaching and mentoring. His style is interactive with an emphasis on transfer of learning into the workplace.
He has extensive experience with Edexcel, having led a team of around ninety people assuring the quality of qualifications in all Further Education Colleges in the UK. Asa BTEC Lead Moderator with a team of 50 BTEC Moderators/External VerifiersBobhasworked on devising the External Verifier Handbook, External Verifier Development and re-selection.Bob has considerable experience of working on BTEC Assessment Panels and leading teams working on BTEC regional projects.
As a Program Director for Chartered Management Institute qualifications from Level 3 to Level 7 inclusive Bob was preparing, delivering and evaluating open courses and in-house courses. As a Manager at Department of Management and Professional Studies (Bournemouth & Poole College) Bob was responsible for introduction of NVQs in Management in overseas associate centers including Assessor/Verifier Awards. As a Director at newly opened Consultancy in UK he was successfully coordinating a group of IIP consultants and managing the sales team to grow the business from zero to half a million pounds turnover.
He has worked in many countries including Australia, UAE, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Greece and Oman. Bob has wide experience of consultancy and in-house training with clients ranging from the Health sector to Engineering companies.Some of his major clients include: Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital, Dorset Healthcare Trust, Goadsby, HJS, Tecan,East Dorset Health Authority, Hamworthy Engineering, AEE Winfrith, Roke Manor Research and others.
Bob is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and attends their conferences regularly.
